Industrial Windows [May 2022] get a link to this artwork

various woods (mostly cherry), 3D-printed details, LED lighting

I love gorgeous old dirty industrial windows lit up at night. The grunge and the variations in glass color almost look like stained glass. Cathedrals of industry past. With this piece I've attempted to capture some of that beauty. It is fairly shallow, so it can be hung on a wall, but it's deep enough that it can be free-standing instead if desired.

The bricks are hand-carved into the wood and the mortar was made with tinted drywall joint compound. The lighting is a mix of warm white LEDs and flickering orange lights to give just a hint of flicker.
