This is part of a batch of three mushroom peppermills and saltshakers. The saltshaker and the stem of the peppermill is maple, as are the pokla dots in the peppermill's head. Aside from the dots, the head of the peppermill is made from walnut. A piece of a knot made a gorgeous looking defect in the walnut that adds to the peppermill's fungal charm. I used a torch to accent different areas. The grinding mechanism is a high-quality ceramic mechanism made by CrushGrind®.
