This fun little piece is an exploration of form. The smooth curves of the exterior contrast with the diagonal plane slicing through the top. The exposed opening on the side is surrounded by bark. The opening's bottom is a straight horizontal cut, but its sides curve gently, approximately following the exterior shape. It's a small but very interesting piece, and the wood from which it's made is gorgeous.
